In Celebration of the 35th year anniversary of Ang Dating Daan, the members of Church of God International (MCGI) bagged the Guinness Book of Records for the Largest Gospel Choir singing all together at the Smart Araneta Coliseum last October 12,2015.

Ang Dating Daan(ADD)

Ang Dating Daan (The Old Path) is the longest running religious Philippine TV and Radio show airing. The show is also translated into different languages and is aired in various countries.

Aside from preaching the doctrines of the MCGI, the said program also provides charitable services to the Persons with Disability (PWD) group. Some of their programs for the PWD include medical mission, free legal counseling, and social care.

ADD Chorale for the Guinness Book of Records

As part of MCGI’s role ofIMG_0162 preaching the word of the Lord, ADD brought glory to the Lord and to the Filipinos after they’ve successfully bagged the title of World’s Largest Gospel Choir singing of the Guinness Book of Records.

The official adjudicator from the Guinness Book of Records is Ms. Fortuna Burke Melhem whereas Congressman Niel Tupas Jr., Representative of IloIlo 1st District, served as the official witness for the event.

With members coming from different areas, the chorale group was able to set a record of 8,688 pax chorale  singing praise songs for 15 minutes.

ADD for the PWD

The event was also dedicated to the different PWD beneficiary groups of ADD. In fact, MCGI donated half a million peso to their chosen PWD group. Also, all of the PWD attendees were allotted front row seats at the event, not to mention that each of them was given grocery items and free meals.

Aside from the zealous performance of the ADD chorale, the heartfelt rendition of Bro. Eli Soriano, ADD’s host, of Kenny Roger’s song, Through the Years, brought the house down.

To sum things up, I congratulate ADD for 35 fruitful years of preaching the word of the Lord and bringing service to the PWD. I also commend the ADD chorale for a remarkable performance. Truly, this event proved again that the Lord can make us all united.

ADD airs both on UNTV Life Channel 37 and over at UNTV-Radio La Verdad 1350 khz. You may also like their Facebook page at
